Inchworm, Inchworm...

The inchworms of my childhood were innocent little beings to to capture, admire and release onto the nearest leaf to watch them inch along in their silly, humpback way. There is even the sweet lullaby from the Hans Christian Anderson movie..."Inchworm, inchworm measuring the marigolds..."
That is until yesterday when my childhood memories were destroyed by the sight of many hungry little worms slowly devouring every bit of green on my old Flame Azalea.  A few beautiful flowers still managed to bloom, but there is not one undamaged leaf on the entire 25 year old shrub. I hope I can save it. I will have no mercy on those fiendish little green worms.
Have you ever had you childhood memories crushed by reality?
